Charles Wesley Fogle,79, of Butler died at Hillsboro Hopital at 7:45p.m. Thursday after being hospitalized for two weeks.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Bass funeral home. Rev.James Howie officiated and interment was made in Montgomery cemetery near Hillsboro.

Mr. Fogle was born in New City, Ill. on June 29,1883, the son of Calvin and Nancy Jane Westbrook Fogle and was aged 79 years, ten months and 24 days. He married Mary Elizabeth Davis in Hillsboro on Sept.20,1905 and she survives. They lived in Sangamon county the first 11 years of their marriage and have made Montgomery county their home since then.

Besides his wife he is survived by five children, Charlotte,wife of Hubert Jackson, Litchfield, Rosella, wife of Leonard Pryor, Butler; Evelyn, wife of George Baker, Granville; Carl Fogle, Klamath Falls, Ore; Lester Fogle, Peoria; 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Roy Fogle of Hillsboro and a sister, Miss Myrtle Fogle of Raymond, also survive. Two sons, Warren W. and John Wesley, and daughter, Alberta Leona, two brothers, Thomas and Edward Fogle, and four sister, Mrs. Bertha Wilhelm, Mrs. Matilda Robinson, Mrs. Esther Caulk and Miss Sarah Fogle preceded him in death.

Mr. Fogle was a member of the Union church at Butler.
