Mrs. Harry (Jane A.) Faulkner, 90, Fergus Falls, formerly of Rothsay, died Monday, Feb. 17, at Lake Park. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Hamar Lutheran Church, Rothsay. The Rev. Erik Holleque will officiate, and burial will be in Riveside Cemetery, Breckenridge.
One of six children of George and Elizabeth (Dighton) Barringer, she was born Sept. 17, 1895, in Dell Rapids, S.D. She grew up and attended school in South Dakota. In 1912, her family moved to a farm in Akron Township, Wilkin County.
After her marriage to Harry Faulkner on June 20, 1928, in Breckenrdige, they farmed in the Breckenridge-Rothsay area. Her husband died July 12,1979.
Mrs. Faulkner became a resident of Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls in 1982. In December of 1985, she moved into a home near Lake Park with her granddaughter, Nancy Davis.
Mrs. Faulkner was a charter member and past president of Rothsay Senior Citizens and past member of Rothsay American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of Hamar Church.
Survivors include one of two sons, Robert of Rothsay; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Dorothy) Martinson of Pelican Rapids; and one brother, Cyril Barringer of Breckenridge.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Grina Funeral Home in Rothsay and resume at the church one hour prior to services Friday.
