Obitiuary in unknown newspaper: Mrs. Ruby Davis Odom, 83, of Neeses, S.C., died Saturday, May 9, 1987, at Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Hospital. The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses, with the Rev. Donald Edwards officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons. Mrs. Odom was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Rena Hutto Sutcliffe and Joseph B. Sufcliffe. She was first married to the late McKinley Davis. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Chancey Odom of the home; a daughter, Gladys Fanning of Neeses; four sons, Jim Davis, Marvin Davis and Homer Edgemon, all of Orangeburg, and Kenny Davis of Goose Creek; two brothers, William Sutcliffe of Lexington, and Joseph B. Sutcliffe of Orangeburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Culler Funeral Home in North was in charge. The family suggests memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
