Emanuel Seitz – aged 82 years, died at his home in St. Louisville Feb. 26 after a several weeks illness of congestion of the lungs. He leaves a wife, one son and three daughters to mourn their loss: Harry W. Seitz of Chicago, Mrs. Mary E. Warthen and Mrs. Isaac Bulllock of St. Louisville and Mrs. Lutrica Speaks of Newark. Mr. Seitz was born in Fairfield County and for the past 50 years made his home in St. Louisville following the occupation of a stone mason. The funeral services will be held Monday in the village M.E. church. Burial at Evans Cemetery.
Veteran, Civil War: Emanuel enlisted in Fairfield County 22 Aug 1862 in Co. I, 90th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Wounded and captured at the Battle of Stones River; retaken. Discharged at Camp Dennison 18 Jan 1863.
