Robert "Bob" Fulton Weid- ner, 83, of Amarillo died Friday, May 21, 2010.

Private services were Friday, May 14, 2010, at Odyssey Hospice with the Rev. Richard Dye of Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Private graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Follett with the Rev. Rick Mercer of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Shattuck, Okla., officiating. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home of Shattuck.

Bob was born July 9, 1926, in Allen, Kan. He grew up on the family farm in Lipscomb County. He went to the military for a short time, in the occupation forces in Japan.

Bob married the love of his life, Leveda Mae Appel, on Dec. 11, 1948. To this union, four children were born: Laurel Cossett, Randal Fulton, Pamela Sue and Cynthia Ann.

He worked for Pantex for 31 years. He was a member of Amarillo Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He was a very giving, kind hearted man who loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed.

Our heartfelt thanks to Odyssey Hospice for their loving care of our loved one.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randal; his parents, Kristian and Augusta Weidner; four brothers, Bill, Chris, Otto and Reuben; and three sisters, Elsie Kraft, Emma Sauer and Beata Borth.

Survivors include his wife, Leveda; three children, Laurie and husband Dennis Mathews, Pamela Randall and Cynthia and husband Jimmy Smith; six grandchildren, Michelle Edwards, Melissa and husband Lane French, Brian Weidner, Jeremy and wife Jackie Weidner, Justin and wife Ashley Smith and Melinda Randall; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan French, Levy French, Nathan, Nicole and Rebecca Weidner and Johnny and Mary Grace Edwards; and four sisters, Erma Redelsperger, Clara McKee, Esther Oblander and Jean Imke.
