wood Cemetery for Mrs. Alice
Boyland Burleson, 87, who died
at 6:32 p.m. Friday at Rhine-
hardt's Nursing Home. Conduct-
ing the service was the Rev. Ste-
wart W. Yandle, pastor of
Commonwealth Presbyterian
Church, Charlotte.
Mrs. Burleson was a native of
Philadelphia, Pa. Daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Boyland,
she was born Nov. 30, 1873. She
had made her home in Con-
cord about 45 years.
Survivors include a sister,
Mrs. Lillie Drexel of Washington,
D.C. Her husband, Dr. L.N. Bur-
leson, died in 1934.
