Ernest Wayne Lantz, 73, Hospitality House of Bedford, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday at Dunn Memorial Hospital, Bedford. Born in Lawrence County, he was the son of Jacob "Jack" and Leafie (Brown) Lantz. He was of Catholic faith.
Surviving are three brothers: Raymond Lantz of Bedford, Doyle Lantz of Florida and Russell Lantz of Alabama; and one sister, Helen Allen of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Catherine Watson, and seven brothers: Earl, Harold, Theodore, Leonard, Louie, Jackie and Cecil Lantz.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
