Killed at the battle of Charleston, SC.

Son of William Bird and Faitha Parker. William's will is recorded in Emanuel County, GA, Will Book A, page 21, May 16, 1831. Witnesses include Wiley Bird and Joel Bird. The will was probated July 4, 1831. William Bird drew 159 acres of pine land in Screven County, Georgia, on October 5, 1801, surveyed December 11, 1802. The land was bounded by Noah Fordman, Joseph Perry, Sal Akins, and Jonas Bird. Dry Branch runs through the middle of the trail (tract?). (Screven County Plat Book A 1793 - 1812, page 73.)
A survey dated March 24, 1818, for William bird shows 150 acres of land on Stockinghead Creek, Bulloch County, Georgia.
