He married Lydia Fisher by 1639.

Children: Obadiah Morse, Daniel Morse Jr, Jonathan Morse, Lydia Morse Wight, Bethia Morse Perry, Mary Morse West(wife of Edward West), Bathsheba Morse Fiske, Nathaniel Morse, and Samuel Morse.

It is said that Daniel first settled the land which became the Morse homestead for successive generations. From the history of cemeteries on the Sherborn town website, the "Farm Cemetery" was first established as a Morse Burying ground in 1688, the year of Daniel's death. So it is possible that Daniel was the first to be buried there. And possibly his wife was buried there as well three years later. An "abstract of Revolutionary War Graves" says he was buried at Sherborn #2, and Farm Cemetery was the second cemetery in Sherborn.
