Baltimore Sun, 3/10/1885
Mr. Jerome Harbaugh, an old and respected citizen of Baltimore, died very suddenly, yesterday, of rheumatism of the heart, at his residence, No.19 South Arlington Avenue, in the 80th year of his age. Mr. Harbaugh was a native of Georgetown, D.C., but had lived in Baltimore for more than fifty years. He carried on the coach-making business.
For several years, during the gold fever of '49-'50, he lived in California and filled the office of Justice of the Peace, in a comparatively wild and lawless country. Mr. Charles Leonard Harbaugh, who has been with the Citizens' National Bank for the past eighteen years, is a son.
