Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Abell, age 75 years, died Wednesday afternoon, June 6, at her home at Roley. Mrs. Abell was a daughter of the late Mr. W. R. and Mrs. Elizabeth Sanders and was a member of the Christian Church.
Funeral services were held at the Casey Creek Christian Church Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. G. Montgomery. Burial was in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Albert and Thad Sanders, James Murphy, Robert Wethington, Coy Wolford, and Allen Wayne.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Joseph Irvin Abell; three daughters, Mrs. Zora Mann, New Hope, Mrs. Bessie Wethington, of Clementsville, and Miss Lizzie Abell who lives at home; and three sons, Messrs. William and Eugene Abell, of Casey Creek, and Joe Abell of Clementsville. Two sisters, Mrs. Jane Wilkerson and Mrs. R. T. Murphy, of Liberty, and one brother, Mr. Wess Sanders, of Casey Creek, also survive.
