Up until the time she suffered a stroke, Mrs. Hardebeck had not been sick and had been quite active about her home.
Funeral services will be held in the St. Joseph's church in Elwood, Monday at 9 a.m. with Father Hammes conducting the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph cemetery.
Anna Hardebeck was born in 1880 at Millhousen, south of Indianapolis, the daughter of John T. Funke and Josephine Weldon. Her father came from Germany at the age of nine and her mother grew up in Oldenburg, Indiana. The family moved to Tipton county in 1888 when Mrs. Hardebeck was a small child. She was one of five children.
Mr. and Mrs. David Hardebeck were married Nov. 19, 1902 and have lived east of Tipton since then. Mr. Hardebeck grew up in Kokomo. To this marriage was born six children, four of whom are still living. Two girls died when young.
Survivors are the husband, David Hardebeck; four children, Fred and Paul Hardebeck, who live on farms west of Elwood, Ruth Shick, of Elwood and Marie Hardebeck at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Idlewine, of Elwood and Mrs. Rebecca Koors, of Roanoke; two brothers, Henry and Theodore Funke, east of Tipton; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
