George is survived by his wife Emma Huffman and four sons, David Wesley, Vernon Andrus, Delmer and Darrell(later changed to William). He is preceeded in death by his son Richard Huffman. His mother and father are Almeda (Almedia) Louisa Rinehart Huffman from Peoria, Peoria County, IL and David Wesley Huffman als from Peoria, Peoria County, IL
He and his brother (Clyde) moved to DeSmet, South Dakota from Anthon, Iowa. He played the piano and the violin at dances in the community and that is where he met and then married (4 Dec 1906)Emma Peterson. He played the piano but didn't dance at all himself.
