Sioux City Journal, 16 March 1957, page 2: Wesley D. Huffman, 68, a lifelong resident of the Anthon Community, died Friday, March 15, 1957, after a seven-year illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hudgel Funeral Home in Anthon with Rev. S.A. Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Branch Cemetery. Mr. Huffman was born December 23, 1888, near Anthon, and had resided in the community since. Survivors include the widow, Gertrude, a son, Lawrence of Los Angeles, three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Rogers of St. Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Minnie Sadler and Mrs. Velma Sadler, both of Correctionville, and two brothers, Charles of Anthon and Clyde of Lake Preston, South Dakota.
