Obituary from the Decatur Democrat
Decatur, Adams Co, IN; Friday
July 19, 1895

Henry Urick of Monroe township, was buried at Ray's graveyard Monday afternoon. He was at the time of his death the oldest man in the county, having reached the age of ninety-six years. He was one of the pioneers of the county, moving here in 18?7, while the county was yet a wilderness. A short time afterwards he entered the piece of land on which he lived the rest of his day. He had a large family, seven boys and five girls, six of the boys still live in this county, while one died in defense of his country. Thus one of the oldest residents of the county has passed away, one to whom we are indebted for clearing up and making of the county, has passed the beyond, where all must some time go.
