Raymond was born March 11, 1926, in Gardner, Huerfano, Colorado, to Jess Garza Hinojosa and Lucinda de Aragon Hinojosa.
On June 26, 1948, he married Rose Mary Gallegos in Fort Collins. They were married for 46 years. Mr. Hinojosa had been a resident of Fort Collins for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, in which he served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Raymond was a building contractor and carpenter. He served two terms as Treasurer for the Sunset Water District in Fort Collins, CO. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Lucinda Hinojosa; sister, Dora Lucero and brother Alfonso I Hinojosa
Mr. Hinojosa is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Hinojosa, Fort Collins; sons: Jim Hinojosa, New York City, NY; Alfonso Hinojosa, Fort Collins, CO; and Tony Hinojosa, Denver, CO. He was also survived by the following siblings: Gus Hinojosa, Brighton, CO; Herman Hinojosa, Denver, CO; Fred Hinojosa of Oregon, Alfonso Hinojosa of Florida; and Jesse Hinojosa (AKA Jess Glenn Hiney), Corvallis, MT; Lucille Lira-Muniz, Fort Collins, CO; Mary Jane Hoskins, Los Banos, CA, Stella Apodaca of San Jose CA, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will at 10 AM Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Romereo officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Viewing is being held from 5 to 8 PM, Monday, at Reager Funeral Home and Tuesday morning at the Holy Family Catholic Church, before the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Occupational Therapy Foundation in care of the Reager Funeral Home.
