Bruce Conrad Bushell, Sr., passed away May 12, 2009 in Ogden. Born June 9, 1929 to Gilbert Thomas Bushell and Eva May Taylor. Graduated Ogden High School 1947. He served a mission in Western Canada. A veteran of the U. S. Navy.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah and embarked on a long and notable career of teaching. He received many accolades for his outstanding achievements in education.

After a long careen in education, he worked at Weber State University.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He met and married Naomi Shippen. They were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on March 2, 1953 and later divorced.

He spent the past 26 years with his close companion and friend, Bill Link residing in the family home in Ogden, Utah. He has many friends and is deeply loved by all that knew and associated with him. He made all that knew him laugh.

He is survived by his five sons, Bruce Conrad (Carolyn), Thomas Owen (Jane), Mark Shippen (Linda), Paul Michael, Sr. and Richard Craig (Stacey), 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A close friend and companion, Bill Link, nephew, Matt Mossbarger, one brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his Mother and Father, sisters Dorothy, Kathryn, Eleanor, Violet, Elyse and Irene, and one brother Gilbert. Also one granddaughter, Sandra Dawn Bushell.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 6, 2009 at Larkin & Sons Mortuary. He was interred at the Ogden City Cemetary.
