Nancy Shreeve Rock was born in Brown County Indiana on January 25, 1808. She was the daughter of Caleb and Anna Slack Shreeve. She moved with her family to Champaign County Illinois in 1834 to an area which later became Sadorus. Nancy became the second wife of William Rock on May 25, 1848. They were married by Lewis Jones , a justice of the peace in Champaign County Illinois. She had only one child, a son named Martin born on December 23, 1850. Martin died at the age of 13 on January 9, 1864. Nancy died on December 17, 1893 in Champaign County Illinois.
