Daughter of Arthur Brian Kavanagh and Mary Davey. Mary married on May 12, 1951, at Paul, NE. to Randall Sharp, who died June 4, 1998.

She graduated High School and one year of Teachers College at Peru State College at Peru, NE.

They have lived in Newton, IA. since 1953. She taught rural country school in NE. for three years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and former PTA member.

Survivors include sons John M. Sharp of Ankeny, IA. David Sharp of Des Moines, IA. and Thomas Sharp of Newton, IA. a daughter Jodi Sharp Helton of Albuquerque, NM. 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mary was preceded in death hy her parents, a daughter Susan; her husband Randall who passed away on June 4, 1998.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 20 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Churh in Newton, IA. Burial was in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Tecumseh Feb. 21, 2006.
