Harold W. Ayers, 77, of rural Coggon died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born June 4, 1905, in Iowa County, he married Gheula Coakley on June 6, 1925, at Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Harold Henderson and Mrs. R.J. Emerson, both of Coggon, and Mrs. W.J. Woods of Cody, Wyo.; one son, Tom of Ryan; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Goodwin of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Ray Brewer of Muscatine, Iowa; one brother, Cecil of Azuza, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 12
great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday at United Parish Church of Coggon, by the Rev. Nancy Nichols. Burial: Coggon Cemetery. Friends may call at Murdoch Chapel, Coggon, after 2 p.m. today. A memorial fund has been established.
