NEW PHARMACY OPENS TODAY IN MAGNOLIA
Rodgers Pharmacy East in Magnolia Shopping Center held their Grand Opening this week, adding another new store to the rapidly growing number establishing in the Bastrop area. Co-owners of the new pharmacy are brothers, Wirt Adam Rodgers, Jr., and Martin Montgomery Rodgers.
Rodgers Pharmacy is a familiar name to Morehouse Parish residents, as Wirt Rodgers has operated a downtown pharmacy since 1959, when he purchased the drug store formerly known as Billington's Drug. The new drug owners assert that they believe in growing with expert service and have great confidence in the future of Bastrop and Morehouse Parish.
Both partners are well qualified as pharmacists to provide expert service to their customers. Wirt Rodgers is a graduate of Loyola College of Pharmacy in New Orleans and Martin Rodgers graduated from the Northeast Louisiana State College of Pharmacy. Both are lifelong residents of Morehouse Parish.
