KATHERINE FLAMMING
Katherine Zeihen was born October 20, 1851, at Prussia, Germany. She came to kenosha, Wisconsin, with her parents at the age of 22 years. Eight years later she came to Hanson County, South Dakota, and on October 2, 1881, was united in marriage to Peter Flamming and this union was born seven children, all of who survive their parents. They are Frank Flamming of Farmer, S.D., Michael Flamming of Mitchell, S.D., Mrs. E.M. Albers of Wayside, Neb., Mrs Chas. Adams, and Mrs. Jacob Hanten and Mrs. J. B. Martin and Mary Flamming, all of White Lake, and seventeen grandchildren.
There are one brother and one sister, J.P. Zeihen, of Farmer, S.D. and Mrs. L.J. Rehorst, of Mt Angel, Oregon.
In 1919 she came to reside in White Lake and has made it her home until her death, December 26, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 21, 1924.
Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Zeihen and Clarence Rehorst of Farmer, S.D., Mr and mrs. Peter Weinacht and son Peter of Dell Rapids.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 A.M. at the Catholic Chruch, with Father P.F. Creel officiating. Interment took place in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Pall Bearers were Clarence Rehorst, Raymond and Lawrence Martin, Frank Hanten, Peter Weinacht and Marvin Adams.
