Henry J. Schanke died February 14, at 6 a.m. at his home on 314 Walnut Street of pneumonia. He was born in the town of Freedom, December 16, 1879. The funeral service will be held from the home Monday afternoon at 2:00.

There is left to mourn his death, his wife, Marie and daughters Adeline and Marguerete; 5 sisters, Mrs. Addie Verthein, Westfield; Mrs. Alvena Smith, Adams, Wisconsin; Mrs. Emma Meyer, Ableman: Mrs. Ida Christoferson, Green Bay; Mrs. Tina Wettstein, Baraboo, and 2 brothers, George of LaValle and Charles of the town of Freedom.

He had been emplyed in the Cahoon mine and has lived here some years.
