Floyd Blocher, 99, of 609 E. Jackson St., died at 3:09 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at his residence.

He was born May 2, 1911, in Minot, N.D., and was the son of Adam and Elizabeth Wise Blocher. He attended Camden Schools.

He married Dorothy Deardorf on March 24, 1934, in Howard County, and she died Dec. 4, 1981. He married Ruth Holsinger Graham on Oct. 16, 1983, in Rossville, and she survives.

Mr. Blocher retired from farming at the age of 80. He was a member of Flora Old German Baptist Brethren Church.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Marion Blocher (wife: Beulah) of Flora; one daughter, Runella Hufford (husband: Donald); one stepdaughter, Zelpha Flora (husband: Roger) of Lewisburg, Ohio, and a stepson, Doug Graham (wife: Becky) of Bringhurst.

Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 8 stepgrandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 stepgreat-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 6 sisters and a grandson-in-law, Lawrence Wray.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Flora Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church as well. Burial will follow at Wise Cemetery near Camden.
