Mrs. Melba Glynne Sims, a resident of Burnet, Texas past away Monday, May 10, 2010 at Cedar Park Regional Hospital. Mrs. Sims was born in September 12, 1929 in Wharton County, Texas. She had worked as a nurse in Crockett for many years and then a caregiver of children including special needs children in Austin. She dedicated her life to helping others and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her son Bruce Thomas Sims and wife Tammy Sims, of Bertram; sister Gwynne Bryce, of Trinity; nieces Patsy Johnson, of Burnet and Vicki Bradshaw, of Jacksonville; and nephew Michael Bradshaw, of Spring.

Preceded in death by her husband Curtis Garland Sims; and father and mother Hunter and Marie Bruce.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Melba Glynne Sims were held Thursday, May 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the Latexo Cemetery in Latexo, Texas with David Coon officiating.
