Pearl Branon, 79, of Wamac died Monday, Feb. 15, 1993, at her home.
She was born in Belleville on Feb. 18, 1913, daughter of Henry and Lizzie Patton. She married James "Jim" Branon in Centralia in June 1933 and he died in March 1964.
Surviving are five sons, Clint Branon, Mike Branon, Donald Branon, James Branon and David Diehl, all of Centralia; three daughters, Carol Raboine of Aurora and Norma Carter and Kathy Grady, both of Centralia; a sister, Goldie Garren of Wamac; 29 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Branon lived her entire life in this area. She was a retired maid at the Hotel Langenfield and a former worker at Valley Steel. She was a member of the Wamac Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services are 11am Thursday at Irvin Funeral Home with the Rev. R.G. Eskridge officiating. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6 to 9pm Wednesday or after 8am until services Thursday at Irvin Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
