Mrs. Boyer died Friday in Coral Springs, FL.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home. A Wake service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday evening at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
Aleta was born March 9, 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bruce M.W. and Virginia P.(Johnson) Shaw. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1982. She then attended Great Plains Vo-Tech and studied practical nursing.
She briefly managed Wendy's in Lawton, spent some time in Germany and had lived in Florida for the last ten years, and married Jeffrey Scott Boyer on November 25, 2002 in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of the home, two children, Jennifer Cook of Yukon, OK, Joshua Clinton of the home, mother Virginia Shaw Scherler, Lawton, OK, four sisters, Teresa Claggett and husband Larry of Moore, OK, Shelly Terrill and husband Todd of OKC, Kara Niles and husband Brett of Canyon Lake, TX, Carol Kavanaugh Tye and husband Ross of Chico, CA, step-brother Jay Scherler and wife Krista of Waco, TX, nieces and nephews, Layne Claggett, Ashley Melton, Connor Niles, Wil Scherler, Rachel Frank and Jessica Frank, mother and father-in-law Lydia and Gary Boyer of Vista, FL, three cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Ken and Margaret Shaw, grandmother who helped to raise her, Averill Johnson and an aunt, Carleeta Shore.
