Charles Betts, 56, died June 23 at the Atchison hospital. He had been ill for some time.
He was born in East Atchison on July 31, 1909 a son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Betts. He was employed for some time at the LFM and Rulo Sand and Gravel Co. Mr. Betts was a member of St. Benedict's church of Atchison. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Pickeral Betts of the home, five sons and five daughters he also leaves his mother, Mrs. Ada Cummings of Rushville.
Services were held at St. Benedict's church with burial in Oak Hill cemetery near Atchison.
