"GARRATTSVILLE - Arthur Winters died at his home at Brick Schoolhouse, Friday, April 28, 1954, in the house where he was born and always resided. He had been ill for many months. He was born October 21, 1895, son of Marion and Jennie (Hood) Winters. He married Margaret Telfer, December 21, 1919. He was a regular attendant of the Garrattsville Methodist church ... He is survived by his wife, two sons, Stephen and Richard; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Timothy and Cynthia Winters; two sisters, Mrs. George Shillieto and Mrs. Charles S. Simmons; two nephews and a niece. The funeral, very largely attended, was held from the Houk Funeral Home at Edmeston. The Rev. Wilfred Lyon, pastor of the Garrattsville Methodist church officiated.
