Affidavit of Heirship

----------
Mrs. Nancy Tinney, wife of W.S. Tinney, died very suddenly at her home on July the 22nd. She was born in Missouri in 1844 and her maiden name was Heady.

She moved to Cook County, Texas with her parents when but a child. In 1860 she married Richard H. Martin, and to them was born one child. Her husband died a year or so after their marriage, and in 1864 she married W. S. Tinney. They moved from Northeast, Texas to Comanche County, Texas and from there to Markley six or seven years prior to her death. To them were born nine children, seven of whom survived her, all living in the Markley community except for one daughter who lived near Sipe Springs, Texas.

edited obituary by W.P. Waggener

She was considered with high regard, a woman of noble character in many respects. As a wife and mother one would hardly find an equal. Her home was an orderly one, she loved and honored her husband and children, and was ever faithful to home duties. She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of the Baptist church at Markley.

She was my great great grandmother.
