Irene was born in Princess Anne County April 24, 1922 to the late George and
Angie Land.
She is survived by her son, David Wapinski; her daughter, Angela Stevens; a
grandson, Jason Wapinski; and many nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers. She
was predeceased by her son, Daniel K. Wapinski and her sisters and brothers,
Rosa, Edith, Lucille, Laverna, Doris, Cecil, Paul and Virgil.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2002 in Norview
United Methodist Church. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made
to the Alzheimer's Association. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive
Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
