Christopher C. Achey was born April 6, 1879, son of John Achey and Melinda Marker Achey, and passed away at Tipton October 25, 1950, at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 19 days.
He was united in marriage to Christina Vitengel, on March 5, 1905. To this union seven children were born. He was preceded in death by two sons, who died in infancy, and one son Lloyd, who died April 24, 1938. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Cyrus; also one sister, Mrs. Minerva Kern.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Grace Wehde, Tipton; three sons, Edward, Tipton, Earl, Clarence and Delois, Cedar Rapids and ten grandchildren
Funeral services were conducted Friday, October 27, 1950, at the Sheets funeral home with Rev. Leo G. Wolfe officiating, and interment in Cedar Bluffs cemetery
