Obituary, Chronicle Independent (Camden, SC) February 18, 2008: Faith K. Sanders - Funeral service for Faith Kennington Sanders, 52, of Camden, will be held today (Monday, Feb. 18) at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with burial to follow in Community Bible Church Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Lee will officiate. Memorials may be made to Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter. Ms. Sanders died Friday, Feb. 15. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of Melvin Dubose Kennington Sr. and the late Alice Debruhl Kennington. She attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. She enjoyed NASCAR racing and had a passion for animals, especially her dogs, Gabe and Bear. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Sophie. Surviving are her father of Bishopville; daughters, Katrina Owens Gainey and her husband, Joe, of Camden, and Melissa Keziah Shumate and her husband, Craig, of Hartsville; brother, Melvin Dubose "Bosie" Kennington Jr. of Bishopville; sister, Christy K. Baker and her husband, Homer, of Camden; and a granddaughter, Sophie Shumate.
