b. 28 Mar 1840, Daerstetten (aka Därstetten), Frutigen-Niedersimmental, Bern, Switzerland
d. 25 Mar 1913, Seattle, King County, Washington per the Washington Digital Archives.
Our family bible lists his death date as 25 March 1913.

He, his wife Catherine (nee Katherine (Katharina) LEUTHOLD, and their three oldest children:
1) Godfrey "Gottfriey Gottfried", b. 30 Nov 1864, Bern, Switzerland
2) Karolena "Lena", b. 20 Jun 1866, Bern, Switzerland
3) my great grandmother Elisa "Lizzie" b. 16 Apr 1868, Bern, Switzerland
immigrated to the United States via Castle Island Immigration Center, New York on 19 Apr 1870 via the ship "The City of Manchester".
