Our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Edna Ruth Bergman Abbott, passed away May 30, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born July 9, 1916 in Eureka, Utah, to John Clarance and Susannah Ruth Baker Bergman. She married Henry Vernal Abbott May 13, 1939. They were married for 60 years. Her husband passed away October 29, 1999.

Edna was hard working and she was happiest when working in her yard and garden. She loved to crochet, and could crochet almost anything. She was a good cook and loved to cook for others. Edna was a long time member of the Liberty Park Ward and served over 20 years in the primary. She enjoyed serving others.

Edna is survived by her four daughters: Lynne (Bud) Hamilton, Mary Kaye (Carl) Remkes , Sandy (Gene) Rolfe and Kathleen Abbott; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also survived by one brother, Herb Bergman. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may visit one hour prior to services.
