Joyce A Schreiber, 42, of 21620 Schreiber Rd., Kiel, died unexpectedly Monday morning, March 4, 2002 at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.
She is the former Joyce Peters, born Feb. 27, 1960 in Waukesha, daughter of Leon Peters and Ruth Brook Mitchell. She attended grade school in California and was a 1978 graduate of Campbellsport High School. On Nov. 21, 1981, she married Ronald Schreiber at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Town of Schleswig. Joyce was employed at Hennings Cheese Factory for a number of years and also helped her husband on their farm. For approximately seven years, she worked at the Plymouth wreath factory and most recently was employed as bakery manager at K & M Piggly Wiggly, Kiel.
She was a member of Bethlehem UCC, Town of Schleswig, a member of Merry Christians and the church choir, taught Sunday School and also was a Faith Mentor for one confirmand. She also was a past 4-H leader for the Schleswig Cadets. Joyce was a seamstress known to many as "Sew What's New" and enjoyed cake decorating.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; mother, Ruth Mitchell, New Holstein; father, Leon Peters, Cascade; three brothers, Roger (Laurie) Peters, Cascade; David Peters, New Holstein, Dale (Jane) Peters, Cascade; two sisters, Marion Peters, Chilton, Joanne (Gordon) Goebel, Kiel; mother-in-law, Lucille Schreiber, rural Kiel; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Tom) Brickbauer, Kiel and Lois Schreiber, Plymouth, She is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, her special extended family, Tony Talerico and Jennifer Meiselwitz and many friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Derek in 1990; father-in-law, Melvin Schreiber and maternal and paternal grandparents.
