Mrs. Lucille "Lucy" Lipscomb Thompson, 75, of Memphis, died Sunday, Sept. 3,2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Lipscomb was born July 24, 1925, in Pine Bluff, the daughter of Samuel and Ann Lipscomb. She obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Vanderbilt in Nashville. Mrs. Thompson was also a member of the McCrory United Methodist Church. Mrs. Thompson was married to Ripley Thompson and he survives her. Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson were Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in the Chapel of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory with Rev. Stephen Waggoner officiating. Burial was in the Fakes Cemetery near McCrory under the direction of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of McCrory and Wynne.
