HARTINGTON--Stella Huennekens, 92, died March 8, 1999, at the Beverly Health Care, Hartington.
Visitation was March 12 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.
Funeral services were held March 13 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with Rev. William Sanderson officiating.
Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hartington.
Pallbearers were Ray Reifenrath, David Reifenrath, Roger Reifenrath, Arnold "Dick" Reifenrath, Mike Reifenrath and Melvin Reifenrath.
Stella was born Nov. 3, 1906, to Peter and Barbara (Konegni) Reifenrath in St. James.
She married August H. Huennekens Feb. 12, 1929, in Crofton.
She grew up in the Crofton and East Bow areas. After her marriage, they farmed north of Crofton until moving to Hartington in 1982. She enjoyed church and senior citizen activities, and moved into the Hartington Nursing Center in 1989. She was a former member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington.
Survivors include a brother, Irvin Reifenrath, Laurel; two sister-in-laws, Lorriane Reifenrath, South Sioux City; and Eleanor Reifenrath, Laurel; and several nieces and nephews.
