JESUP - Mrs. Margaret B. Burkhalter, 66, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
The Evans County native lived in Wayne County most of her life ans was former manager of the Jesup Penny Pincher and a homemaker.
Surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Louise Bennet of Jesup, Mrs. Michelle Parker of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Carolyn Dent of Platte City, MO., and Mrs. Doris Raker of Newnan; a son, R. Milton Burkhalter, Jr. of Jesup; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Tootle; four brothers, A.D. Boyd, I.V. Boyd, all of Savannah; J.G. Boyd of Jesup and C.I. Boyd of Macon; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home, burial in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery in Tattnall County.
