Judy Howard, 72, of West Van Lear died Monday, September 25, following a lengthy illness.
Born February 20, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Sally Shell Arrowood and was a member of the Buffalo United Baptist church.
Surviving are her husband, Sidney Howard, five daughters, Mrs.Dixie Mae Nesselrette of Springfield,OH, Mrs.Angeline Harless of Columbus,OH, Mrs.Alice Marie Fitch of Meally, Mrs.Edna Ratliff of Louisa and Mrs.Sarah Rebecca Lemaster of West Van Lear; three sons, Sidney Howard,Jr., of Springfield,OH, John E. Howard of Dixon,MO, and Lowell Ray Howard of West Van Lear, three sisters, Mrs.Bertha Jones, Mrs.Mary James, and Mrs.Nancy Judd, all of Inez, two brothers, Melvin Arrowood, of Meally, and Elbert Howard of Baltimore,MD, 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, September 26, in the Cedar Grove United Baptist Church with Reverends Elzie Banks,Glen Arrowood and Lawrence Arrowood officiating. Burial was in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear with arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
