Joseph Kennedy was born Feb 2, 1795 in Kentucky, the son of Thomas Kennedy and Elizabeth Eaton Kennedy. He died March 22, 1854. He was preceded in death by his wife, Abigail Parker Kennedy. Both are buried in Pilgrim Cemetery near Elkhart, Texas. Their six known children were born in Illinois, John in 1828, Martha 'Patsy' in 1829 (married R.H. Harper), Daniel in 1834, Joseph in 1837, Elizabeth in 1839 (married a Stallcup), and Thomas in 1842.
