In 1852 she sailed with her husband and 2 children Heinrich (age 12) and Catherine (age 10) to the United States and settled in Erie County near Buffalo, New York. Sometime after arriving in America a second "L" was added to their name. After the death of her husband she lived with her daughter Catheine/Katherine Kittel Fischer and her son-in-law in Buffalo New York and then 3 months before her death she moved to Harvey County Kansas where she lived with her son Heinrich.
