Saco----------------------------Yvonne A. Mitchell, 86 of Saco: Passed away on Friday April 30, 2010, at Seal Rock Health Care Facility in Saco.
Yvonne was born in Saco on February 15, 1924 a daughter of Alec and Luella (Morse) Garon. She was educated in the Saco school system.
With her first husband Herb Estes they owned and operated Herb and Yvonne's Diner in Saco for several years in the 1940's, later she worked for John Roberts for seventeen years retiring in 1984.
She was also a volunteer at the Saco Food Pantry.
Yvonne was predeceased by her first husband Herbert Estes in 1976; She was also predeceased by two brother Alec and Franklin Garon and two sisters, Pricilla Parisien and Nancy Keithley.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Milton J. Mitchell of Saco; her son Robert Estes and his wife Sandra of North Waterford; her daughter Pamela Davis and her husband Gregory of Saco; her Stepdaughter Ruth Mitchell of Saco; Three sisters, Florence Bouchard, Janet Hout and her husband Ernest and Suzanne Horne all of Saco; She is also survived by four grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday May 2, 2010 from 2:00 to4:00 PM at Cote Funeral Home, the corner of Beach and James Streets Saco. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday May 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM from First Parish Congregational Church in Saco. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
