Corbet Shipley was my uncle and wife of Elwanda "Wanda" May Gorham of McCaskill, Hempstead Co., AR; she was the beloved mother of his two sons, Kenneth and Steven. Corbet married Wanda on June 5, 1948 in Dallas, TX, and they eventually made their home in Cushing, Oklahoma where they raised their family. He was a good and loyal husband of 55 years. Both he and Wanda died in 2003, one very soon after the other. Somehow that speaks to their loving bond. They were a handsome couple.
