Marion Crabtree

Marion Crabtree, who died at his home yesterday near Crabtree, enjoyed the distinction of having been the first white child born in Linn county. He was born October 31, 1846. Mr. Crabtree spent his entire life on a farm in Linn county. Six children and the widow survive. The children are: Mrs. Clara Bates of Portland, Roy Crabtree of Scio, John and Ernest Crabtree of Crabtree, Mrs. Effie Brewster of Lebanon, and Byron Crabtree of Hillsboro.
