MANTI, UTAH- Ellis Amundsen Tuttle, 84, of Manti, passed away January 2, 2006, at Sanpete Valley Hospital from complications of influenza. She was born on July 4, 1921, to Oscar and Hettie Amundsen in Fairview, Utah. She grew up in Fairview, graduated from North Sanpete High School and attended Snow College. She married Earl Tuttle of Manti December 22, 1941, in the Manti Temple.
She was a gracious, lovely lady who took great pride in her family. No one could match her "grandma-good rolls". She lovingly made many quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her dear husband Earl; parents; siblings: Whit, Ned and Ethel; her son, Ned.
She is survived by her children: Terry (Dina) Tuttle, Salt Lake City; Erlynne (Joe) Nielsen, Ephraim; Roger (Elayne) Tuttle, Kaysville; Brant (Lorraine) Tuttle, Payson; Bob (Janiece) Tuttle Richfield; and Paul (Laury) Tuttle, Salt Lake City; 27 grandchildren, 24 great-grand-children with seven more due this year; sisters, Alta Osborne and Ora (R.J.) Christensen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Delma Dyreng, Wayne and Ruth Tuttle, Norma Erickson, Mac and Roena Shields, Archie and Doreen Brugger, Norma Allen, and Rick and Alice Wright.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2006, at 12:00 noon in the Manti Stake Center. Friends may call at the Manti Stake Center on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again at the Stake Center on Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Manti.
