Mrs. Edwards was born June 15, 1921 in Laconia, the daughter of Charles Fernand and Sadie (Colby) Joyal. She was a life long resident of the Lakes Region.
Mrs. Edwards was employed at Laconia Shoe for many years retiring in 1986. She enjoyed cooking and baking for the family, and she enjoyed her grandchildren and family conversation.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Thomas S. Edwards, Jr. of Belmont; a son Thomas S. and his wife Marjorie J. Edwards of Laconia; 2 grandchildren Sarah E. and her husband Rick Vincent of Arlington, VA and Erica A. Edwards of Manchester, NH; a great-grandchild Hannah K. Vincent of Arlington, VA.; a brother Edward "Ted" Joyal of Laconia; a sister Edna Bouley of Laconia; many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers Henry Joyal, Fernando "Bing" Joyal and Harry Joyal; and 5 sisters Agnes Blackey, Lois McMurphy, Edith Darling, Mildred Hamilton and Eva Morancy.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
Funeral services will be held following the calling hour at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 3:30PM in the family lot in Homeland Cemetery, Bristol.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity.
