BOWIE-Eldon A. Bowman, a retired truck driver, died Friday at a Bowie nursing home. He was 69.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Burgess-Fry Funeral Home in Bowie. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.
Mr. Bowman was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Bowie. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 0252 in Bowie.
Survivors: Wife, Louise Bowman of Bowie; daughter, Sheila Morrison of McKinney; four stepsons, David Jones, Kurt Jones and Randell Dewayne, all of Bowie, Michael Jones of Arligton; three stepdaughters, Mary Wolsey of Newport, Rebecca Jones of Fort Worth and Kay Holcombe of Bowie; brother, Jake Bowman of Bowie; five sisters, Oleta Gibson of California, Opal Walker of Bowie, Eunice Yandell and Ilene Downey, both of Oklahoma and Ava Maxwell of Nocona; six grandchildren; 20 stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
