Alfred Bolin, 91, Deer Creek, died at 7:45 pm Saturday, December 2, 1978 at the Perry County Memorial Hospital.
A native of Perry County, Mr. Bolin was born April 13, 1887, the son of the late Anderson and Elizabeth (Cameron) Bolin. He was united in marriage in Cannelton in 1912 by a relative, the Rev. Anderson Bolin, to the former Mary Anna Armstrong, who preceded him in death December 9, 1963.
A retired farmer, Mr. Bolin resided in the Deer Creek area for over 55 years. He was a member of the Tell City Odd Fellow Lodge since 1911; was active years ago in the Perry County Farm Bureau and the FHA in Cannelton.
Mr. Bolin retired in 1969 but operated a threshing machine and corn shredder for residents in the Perry County area for quite a number of years when he was actively engaged in farming.
Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday December 5 at Finch Funeral Home, Tell City, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery at Cannelton.
