Thell Burrell Carroll, 73, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on May 27, 1990.


Born November 26, 1910 in Blanding, Utah, son of James Franklin and Annie Burrell Carroll.


Married Edith Barton on July 18, 1942. Veteran WW II, U.S. Army, Airforces. Commander American Legion Bountiful Post #79. Elder in the LDS Church, served as teacher, Scout Master, and dance director. Volunteer Sheriff deputy for Bountiful City. Retired superintendent of Fleet Maintenance, Salt Lake County. Loved his family and life. Enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling.


Survived by wife, five sons, Gary Thell; Garn Earl, of Farmington; Hal Denton, Woods Cross; mark Barton, Atlanta, Georgia; and Guinn Barton, Midland, Texas; three daughters, Deaun Kimber, Layton; Jan Diamond, Bountiful; Luann Hunter, Twin Falls, Idaho; three brothers and sister, Vivan, Denver, Colorado; Willard, Salt Lake City; Lester and Elizabeth, both Blanding; twenty-four grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Tom, and Denton.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 1990 in the Centerville Tenth Ward, Ricks Creek Chapel, 50 East 1475 North, Centerville. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Bountiful Memorial Park.
